Personal History: Charlie was born as the second son to Arthur and Molly Weasley in 1972, December 12th. His childhood was filled with typical sibling bickering or ganging up on each other, playing pranks and generally giving their poor mother more than a few grey hairs with their antics. But he also grew in dark times, where the Dark Lord was at his highest and lost his uncles to the madman. When he was nine years old the final member of the Weasley family joined them and he was surrounded by five brothers and one little sister. Through his entire childhood, Charlie had an affinity for bringing in stray dogs or feeding wild animals in the nearby area. He loved to take care of animals and had a great way of dealing with them.

In 1984, Charlie got his Hogwarts letter and joined his older brother at the school and the same house, Gryffindor. During the seven years he got a spot as the Seeker for the house Quidditch team and it managed to win the House Cup. He wasn’t quite as studious as his mother might have hoped and he certainly didn’t become either Prefect or Head Boy as he preferred to spend his time either flying or watching which ever creature Hagrid was trying to raise.

After graduating for Hogwarts, Charlie decided that he wanted to continue working with animals, only his choice fell on some of the most dangerous, but also intriguing beasts. He joined a Romanian reservation for dragons and slowly worked his way up from simply helping the others handlers out to becoming one himself. It took hard work and serious studying to do so and it was possible the first time Charlie ever applied himself to his studies for more than just getting a passing grade.

At some point before 1991 he exchanged his wand for another one and his old wand was given to his youngest brother, Ron, who started Hogwarts that year. When Hagrid had gotten himself a dragon, which had to be taken out of the country as it was illegal to keep them privately; Charlie sent some of his friends to pick it up after talking with Ron about the situation. And in the summer of 1993 he took a perhaps much needed vacation from being regularly burned and scorched by his favourite animals and travelled with his family to Egypt where they visited his older brother. A year later, he was back at Hogwarts and this time he brought several of his charges, four dragons for the Triwizard Competition.

In the following years, Charlie wasn’t around much, spending most of his time in Romania. And while the war was going on in Britain, he was “holding down the fort” at the reserve, something that his mother was rather happy about since it meant that at least one of her children was not in immediate danger. But, when he found out that his little brother, Fred, had died in the final battle Charlie took the first Portkey home to be with his family.

Once the war was over, he soon returned to the reservation, continuing his work until Annwn sent out its call.
